Favorite Color Swap

WHEW! Last day to sign up and I made it! I hadn’t seen about this swap until today and I’m super glad I stumbled upon it’s awesomness! I didn’t know swaps existed until the #SPRINGPOLISHSWAP and it was really fun! I’m even more excited for this swap since I’ve had a bit of practice. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love color coordinated packages, receiving snail mail and meeting other bloggers so this swap was perfect for me. I want to point out that the pros at Chaotic Goddess Swaps are who is hosting the Favorite Color Swap! I’m already thinking about what to put in my care package and I’ve not even been paired up yet!

Hope you all had a happy spring Easter and are seeing lots of color pop up with the grass, trees and flowers!

# Spring Polish Swap

I did my first every bloggy swap recently! It was OBVIOUS I had to because it involved getting to know another blogger AND nail polish…has ‘Shelly’ written all over it! The #SpringPolishSwap is hosted byMrs. Aok, Mrs. Tee and The Real Housewife of Caroline County who paired me up with the delightful Stacey from This Momma’s Ramblings! I loved getting to know Stacey a bit better! Being new in the bloggyworld she helped me with any questions I had and never made me feel bad for asking!

Stacey got me my FAVORITE polish color, PINK! Every shade of pink is my favorite for my nails…and it’s hard to find one I don’t have, but she did! She also hand made a super cute bejeweled spring card for me! Almost all of the jewels were off by the time it reached me but they were still pretty as confetti (when I opened it, I thought that’s what they were for!)

I can’t just have one color on my fingers so I paired it with OPI’s Miami Beet. Don’t mind my wonky heart…still practicing those. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The polish she gifted me was a COVERGIRL Outlast polish called Stay Brilliant. I’m on day two and it’s hardly chipped, so that’s a great sign! I’ve never bought Covergirl for myself so I was happy to see it was a brand I didn’t own. Being the nail guru that I am call myself, I did find it streaky for the first coat, but once the second coat was on it looked perfect! It is a very opaque consistency which is hard to find with these pastel colors. I took it out for a spin to see how it looked with my new sandals in this beautiful weather! (Warning: Foot shot…look away if you don’t like piggies!)

Also, that’s a tiny sneak peak of the deck that you’ll see revealed in a makeover pretty soon! I’m waiting until I can get flowers without the threat of another frost. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you so much to Stacey for my new Paris Polish (I’m calling that because I noticed it was made in France and we’re going to Paris this summer so I’ll definitely wear it there)! Thank you, also, to the ladies for hosting the swap! Anyone else used COVERGIRL before? What’s your favorite brand and color?! I always need want more colors!
