Grateful

gratefulI feel like I say this a lot, but also never enough. At this time of year it’s easy to want. Want a huge turkey and 14 pies for Thanksgiving. Want a massive white Christmas tree and lights on our home. Want new boots, lattes and that calligraphy course that will make you the best calligrapher  you know. If we stop, for one minute, and think of allllll that we do have, it’s extremely humbling. Especially when we know there are so many with so little. Think about who you have in your life that makes you happy and all of those ‘wants’ will go away. I’m truly and forever grateful for the wonderful life I live surrounded (even if far) by people that I care so deeply about.

  1. So true. I’ve just begun a blessings/thankful jar and it makes me stop and think about the wonderful things that I’m grateful for daily. A thankful heart is a happy heart and that lifts others up when they are struggling too

    • Thanks a great idea! I’ve done that in the past and I save them so we can see them the following year (I just put it in with the fall decorations.) This year was crazy but I’m excited to do it again next year once Sophie can talk and tell us what she’s Thankful for!
