Don’t fight or flee. Simply be. Be ok with what’s going on around you. Sometimes I get very anxious about my surroundings. Things I can not change immediately. I’m learning to simply be. To be ok with the mess in the kitchen, entryway filled with mail and toys strewn across the floor. It shows there’s life in our home. I started listening to a free app on my phone called Take a Break which has been helping me refocus and reground myself in my environment and simply be.

  1. Way to go, Shelly! I listened to it this morning and actually listened to the whole thing before I nodded off…I am going to listen it tonight again and adjust my position and keep my eyes open. I really plan on listening to it a couple of times a day for a few days. ๐Ÿ™‚ I hate anxiety in situations and I am learning to deal myself, though I rarely go to many places any more. LOL!   2. I have been learning to simply be last month after the stress factor has been removed and enjoyed it immensely! I think I will definitely check that app out to really bring the message home!

    • Congratulations Ana! It’s a super hard thing to learn. I’m definitely still learning (as evidence of my minor anxiety attack last night when realizing how much I wanted to get done…all of which was not necessary to do right then!) I love the app and I hope you get into it too!
