Tidy

tidy organized clean quote
I’m realizing more and more than this holds true for my life and well-being of my family’s lives. I understand that cleaning while having a child is like brushing your teeth while eating Oreos, but I won’t give up! I’ve learned that if I keep the kitchen island and the entry console clean, I’m ok with clutter. Laundry, dishes piled in the sink and toys strewn can all wait until after Soph’s in bed or even the next day. Find your ‘spot’ that you need to tidy and stay cleared of clutter to keep your sanity. I’d love to know where your ‘spot’ is or if you’ve ever brushed your teeth while eating Oreos.

  1. We only have so much time on our hands, so we definitely have to choose our battles. My spot is the kitchen. I like things off the counter, away in the cupboards or dishwasher. I also like a neat bedroom without clothes everywhere and the bed made. Actually, the only place I don’t “mind” clutter is the “office”. Even then, it needs tidying up every few months.

    • Haha! I like how it started out as just one space (kitchen cupboards) and gradually went to everywhere other than the office. 😉 Our office is definitely our most cluttered bc Jeffrey cleans his desk once/year. 😉 My desk is cleaned about every 3 days but in the in between time it always gets filled back up.
