Like my girl Aaliyah used to say, ‘If at first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again.’ I think this is a great reminder to all people, of every age, everywhere. My niece just learned how to ride her bike with no training wheels and she is an amazing example of someone who bounces right back up after falling. She’s an inspiration. Sometimes it might take a little encouragement from a friend or loved one to help dust yourself off, but it’s always worth it in the end.

My in laws usually say “Better get up and try that again”. I’ve adopted it and use it constantly for everything!

It’s too true Ana! Wise words. Helpful for people of all ages and a great motto to pass on to your kids!

This is something I’ve been trying to teach my son very early on. Instead of being disappointed if he misses a swing on the tee-ball set, I just yell “Miss!” very happily and we try again. So far it’s working! He has his first organized sports activity this fall (soccer) so it will be interesting to see how they handle winning/losing (if they even keep score at age 4!)

Perfect example Sarah! I hope he really enjoys soccer this fall! He’ll learn a lot besides how to play soccer. 🙂

I just KNEW that’s where the line came from. Loved her music! And yes, we can all learn from the pint-sized ones around us. I mean, they have to learn SO MUCH in such a short amount of time. Now THAT is perseverance!

I hope you went and listened to that song Lisa! haha!
