Project Life Organization

Hello and good morning to you! As I sit here with Sesame Street on in the background, I long for warmer weather so we can play outside! Anyone else have cabin fever? Having a non-stop toddler has made this winter seem longer than normal, that’s for sure. While we’re stuck indoors, I’ve been lucky enough to do indoor activities that I often don’t make time for once it’s nice outside.

Memory keeping is one of those tasks for me that can be fun but also seems necessary. Continue Reading about Project Life Organization

Let’s DIY

Hello party people! I’m guessing you’re as excited as I am that it’s Friday! Any plans for Valentine’s Day? I’m going out for sushi and martinis then watching 50 Shades and then dancing with 9 other girls tonight! Yes, you may now judge me how you will, for going to see that horrendous movie. I have zero plans for Valentine’s Day other than spending it with my loves at home and possibly eating chocolate.

Here were my favorites from this past week:

  1. IKEA Hack Nesting Tables by Classy Clutter
  2. Dress Up Rack by Lay Baby Lay
  3. Heart Quilt by A Quilt is Nice
  4. Macrame Yarn Garland by A Beautiful Mess
  5. Mini Heart Vinyl by Hello Lidy

Do you plan on getting crafty this weekend or will you be pinning one of these for later? Obviously, I want to re-create every one of these, but I’m especially loving the dress up rack idea! Soph’s too young for dress up but this will be great in a year! Let me know which is your favorite and please always pin from the original creator.

House Tour

Hello friends! Today is an exciting day for me because I’m finally posting a house tour! I have wanted to take photos of my home forever but always had an excuse (too messy, too busy, not a good enough photographer etc).

IMG_6226I will always have these excuses but wanted this moment in my life documented exactly as it is.
Mid projects and mid life. I didn’t buy beautiful flowers or fruit to stage my home. I didn’t even dust (shh.) I picked up a bit and will later show you the ‘5 minutes before the shoot photos’ but other than that, this is what our home looks like. Lived in.

This will be a photo heavy post. Would you like a coffee? We also have martinis. Perhaps I could concoct a mocha martini of sorts? Since you are my friend, and not a solicitor or boy scout, I’ll bring you in through the garage which leads into our laundry room.

Thanks for stopping by! Let me know if you want to know where I got products or how we DIY’d projects. I’d be happy to share!

Stay Focused

living the dream

Have you ever had so many things on your to-do list that you were paralyzed? Sometimes I can not figure out where to start because there is so much to do. Right now, I’m lucky enough to have the time and resources to learning new programs to improve this blog.
I’m researching AdSense, Tailwind, CoSchedule and what program is best for graphics. I’m learning LightRoom for editing and organizing my photos while practicing photography. I just got a new video editing program for all of the video we’ve taken this past year. All of this is being accomplished during the 1 hour nap Sophie takes during the day and once she goes to bed. I’m so lucky to have the time and energy to put towards these passions but sometimes I just have to remember to keep my eye on the horizon and stay focused. One at a time.
