Mom

Every year Mother’s Day comes at, what seems like, the busiest time of the year. I’m not sure why I think that but it always seems like it’s hard to get together with our moms to celebrate them as they should be celebrated. I am thankful every day that I have a mother, let alone, the smart, encouraging, thoughtful mother that I have. I’ve always known that I’ve had a great mom who was very engaged in my childhood through my adulthood but now that I’m a mom, I appreciate her support even more. Here’s to my Mom and all the other wonderful moms out there who love their children unconditionally.

Harder Better Faster Stronger

Harder Better Faster Stronger. This is my mantra for when I work out. I listen to it every time I’m running and thankfully it usually comes on towards the time I start getting tired and pumps me back up! It’s crazy how one song or saying can make you forget about the pain. Anyone else used to watch this over and over trying to do it with your hands? What pump-up songs get you motivated to work out or clean?!

Here’s a favorite video from back in the day in case you need the song in your head. 😉

Go Explore

I’m stuck. We are traveling to Paris this summer and the ‘planner’ in me wants to plan for the trip. Things like what to see and where to eat seem important when you’re going across the globe and spending mucho dinero! The ‘wanna be wallflower’ wants to explore and happen upon lovely small bistros and beautiful Parisian gardens! I think I’ll do half & half and plan a couple restaurants and a couple sites to see and let the rest be up to the wind.

Have any of you been to or lived in Paris? We’re trying to not go to the touristy places. Where are you exploring this summer?!

Slow

Last week was our staycation which was just as busy as a normal vacation. This week I’m going to focus on slowing down. What do you do to remind yourself to slow down? Perhaps take a walk since the weather’s getting nicer? There may even be flowers where you are! My parents always had beautiful peonies. I think I’ll try my hand at them this year.

Forgiveness

I am weak. Forgiveness has never been an easy attribute of mine. I’d like to say I’ve improved as I’ve gotten older but sometimes the silliest little things are the hardest to forgive. This week I’m going to work on being more forgiving to the people I care most about. Try it with me. You don’t have to forget, just forgive, one person.
