I saw this glyph for ‘create’ and had an epiphany that I feel should not have taken 29 years to realize. One of the things that is constant in my life is that as long as I create, I am happy. There are a billion ways I can be creative. Painting a massive canvas, baking a 12 layer chocolate cake, making a clover headband, weaving a rug, learning Blackbird on the guitar…literally a billion. Even if my creation fails, I still get joy from the process and usually learn something along the way. So create, and be happy.

I know what you mean when you say creating brings you joy. I get the same feeling when I am behind my laptop and messing around with coding.

Oh MAN! If only I could get that feeling with my tiny experience with coding! My feeling is more like ‘ugh! I HATE you internet!!’ ๐

I love this! I’ve never seen that glyph before, but I really like it. I am a “maker” too — knitting, cooking, sewing, drawing (doodling really), building train tracks with my son… I love it all. Sometimes when I’m feeling really zen I can even get that good creative feeling from cleaning the kitchen. Sometimes.

I hadn’t seen it either and I love it! If I were to ever get a tatoo, I think this would be the one (I’m afraid of needles though so it won’t happen.) ๐ Cleaning the kitchen can really make me feel like I’ve done something too! Speaking of… ๐

Yea, get that tattoo!! Hehe. It’s ok if it took 29 years to realize it since the best stuff is worth waiting for :).
