If you know me, you know I’m a huge fan of Disney movies. I am frequently quoting them during conversation.
That being said, saying Frozen 2 is my new favorite Disney movie is HUGE!
We had the chance to preview Frozen 2 before it is being released on November 11/22 through The Owens Group. We took the day to have a full girls day out with lunch, a stop at the book store and a Frozen pedicure before going to see the movie. Of course, Sophia wore her Elsa dress and crown the entire day and felt like the princess she is with all of the compliments she received!
Why Frozen 2 is My Favorite Movie
I will preface this by saying there are zero spoilers in this review. I will also say that the day after seeing it in theaters I booked more tickets for opening night because we NEEDED to share this experience with my husband.
As I sit here, listening to the Frozen 2 soundtrack, I’m reminded of the rollercoaster the movie took us on. I’m a huge fan of the original Frozen film and am happy to watch it sans kids. I love the music, artistry, storyline and comedic relief throughout the movie.
Frozen 2, for me, is all of that times 10.
There is a song that Anna sings called The Next Right Thing that is powerful beyond the movie. The song’s message is what ultimately made Frozen 2 my favorite movie. Anna sings about how things can get difficult but all you can do is the next right thing, one step at a time. I love that message.
The Funniest Frozen
I also love how funny this movie is. Olaf was funny in the first movie but he’s absolutely hysterical in this second movie! My six-year-old and I, along with the entire theater, were belly laughing throughout the entire movie.
Like most Disney movies these days, I do suggest watching the movie first before taking little kids if they’re sensitive to intense movies. It is darker than the first movie. Their goal was to grow with the age of the children who grew up watching Frozen so it’s a bit more mature than the first.
To say ‘this will be the top movie to see over Thanksgiving break’ is an understatement. It’ll likely still be the top movie to see over Christmas. It’s that good. Let me know what you think after you see it! Until then, I’ll be belting Into the Unknown!
