Let’s DIY: Kid’s Room

Because my mind is completely in design mode for the new house, I’m going to do a DIY roundup of kid’s rooms. I’ve been doing a lot of Pinterest searching for how I want to decorate Sophie’s room since her room is top priority when we move in this Sunday. I’ve realized I gravitate towards the rooms with white walls with whimsical pops of color throughout the room. I also like geometric designs as an accent wall.

I absolutely love the white closet door with the painted edge. I kind of want to do that to every door in our house. Pink everywhere! I can’t wait to get started painting the entire house but Sophie’s room is what I’m most excited to start decorating. What was the first room you completed in your home?

Let’s DIY

Happy Friday friends! I hope the sun is shining where you live and you’re looking forward to a fun weekend ahead! I’m excited because Jeffrey and I are going on a star gazing date: dinner, planetarium and star gazing using a rented telescope. We’re switching off who plans our date each month. This was my month and since Jeffrey loves space, I thought I’d recreate our second date together from college (star gazing in a field with brownies). I probably won’t get any crafting done other than finishing photo booth props for my cousin’s wedding. I’m keeping this week’s Let’s DIY at the top of the list though because each of these have been begging to be made!

Lets DIY

It’s FRIDAY! All week has felt like Saturday to me though because we’re on vacation! We’ve gotten lots of projects done, but more importantly, we’ve gotten lots of play time in as a family. We stayed in town and checked out a new park that we’re now in love with. Jeffrey and I also went on a date and found our new favorite restaurant in town! I wish this week could last forever because Soph and I both love having Jeffrey around to play with.

Let’s DIY

Hello party people! I’m guessing you’re as excited as I am that it’s Friday! Any plans for Valentine’s Day? I’m going out for sushi and martinis then watching 50 Shades and then dancing with 9 other girls tonight! Yes, you may now judge me how you will, for going to see that horrendous movie. I have zero plans for Valentine’s Day other than spending it with my loves at home and possibly eating chocolate.
