Relaxation IN Anxiety OUT

anxiety

I have a new mantra for when I’m breathing and trying to calm down. I picture relaxation coming in through the new air I’m breathing in and anxiety going out with my used air. Sometimes just doing this for a few minutes can really help re-focus what’s important. It helps me not get so frustrated when Sophie is throwing the third meal I’ve made her on the floor or when Lexi won’t stop wining to go outside, even though she won’t step foot outside. There’s no room in our minds or bodies for anxiety. Just breathe it out.

Beginning

beginingI have recently been observing the world around me, via social media. The glutenous jolly week of Christmas, we want nothing but watching movies by the fire and being with our loved ones. One week later, we feel guilty if our homes aren’t void of Christmas decorations and every item of our home in it’s perfectly organized location. We must have our goals in place, new planners in hand and ready to make ‘this year the best year yet!’ These are just observations I’ve seen running through my feeds. Let’s make this year be anything you want it to be. No matter what that means to everyone else.

Progress

With the holidays in full swing and New Years right around the corner, I think this is a great mantra to follow. This is a happier and more fulfilling way to live life but can be hard to master (near impossible for some of us.) I’m no where near perfection, in any aspect of my life, but I do strive to learn from past mistakes and be a better me than I was yesterday. When thinking of your New Years goals, keep this in mind.
